I share Betsy’s impatience with this obvious, ongoing electoral fraud — the most recent examples of which prove only how little was accomplished since 2016 to preclude it. Our elections, were they truly a matter of national security, ought to have warranted the most thorough and overt protection, irrespective of Democrat or Republican resistance. Instead, we appear set for another circus Florida recount and federal court decision.
Doubtless, President Trump WOULD act with the full force of his Executive power were he able to act alone — or were the threats posed by the consequent suspension in the continuity of government not either greater or more imminent than those inherent to these coming court battles, legislative gridlock and covert machinations. In effect, he chose — more likely, reluctantly accepted — a political cold war; though many of us would have preferred to fight a “hot” one.
But it may well be the case that if all necessary actions were taken to safeguard the electoral process, Democrats would increasingly prevail anyway. We all have family and acquaintances for whom no amount of argumentation or evidence could draw them from their innate focus upon material wealth, momentary pleasures, virtue signalling or social status. This is the human animal, whose self-serving nature surely predates the oldest “brainwashing” techniques.
Therefore, objectively-minded, innately “Woke” people must suppress the will of a burgeoning majority by legally prosecuting their self-serving excesses until not just the voting rolls but the gene pool itself were affected — or else establish sufficient security in the world to seize a chance and impose reform upon our political system, such that all our votes, though fully counted, could never claim from the Treasury a penny more than the votes of our neighbors.
I’m glad you keep bringing Pence up Tyla. You that photo of the President with all the aides gathered around with their hands on him in prayer…well Pence is standing away from the group looking at them and the look in his eyes,, for me, spells danger. He’s never been on the team in my opinion.
Talk is cheap in the swamp. We need to see real patriot action from Pence.
