This morning I went into a Walgreens, to purchase a new knee brace. When I went to check out, I noticed that the cashier was wearing a face mask, in a region I believed to not require it.
I asked her: “Are you required to wear that, or is it of your own choosing?”
She replied: “They require it, because I am not vaccinated.”
I nodded, indicating that I understood.
After the transaction, she looked at me and asked: “Are you vaccinated?”
I replied: “Oh heavens no! I used to practice medicine, so I know better!”
It is amazing, even though she was masked, I could tell from her eyes and re-positioned cheeks, that there was a huge smile on her under that mask.
I left feeling that I at least helped improve someone’s day a little, today.
